Welcome to the Alzheimer's disease Biomarker Online Database (ABOD).
ABOD is a comprehensive database of Alzheimer's disease biomarkers that provides researchers, clinicians, and the scientific community with up-to-date information on established and emerging biomarkers for Alzheimer's disease diagnosis, progression monitoring, and treatment response assessment.
Since the discovery of key Alzheimer's disease biomarkers such as Amyloid-β and Tau proteins, a wealth of data has been collected across various research platforms. ABOD integrates findings from clinical studies, neuroimaging, cerebrospinal fluid analysis, blood-based biomarkers, and genetic research to provide a unified resource for the Alzheimer's research community.
Our database includes detailed information on:
- Core CSF biomarkers (Aβ42, Aβ40, total-tau, phospho-tau)
- Blood-based biomarkers (plasma Aβ, p-tau181, p-tau217, NfL)
- Neuroimaging biomarkers (PET amyloid, tau PET, FDG-PET, MRI)
- Novel biomarkers under investigation
- Biomarker cutoff values and reference ranges
- Longitudinal changes in biomarkers during disease progression
The overall aim of ABOD is to facilitate standardization of biomarker use in research and clinical practice, promote harmonization of biomarker measurements across laboratories, and accelerate the development of new biomarkers for early detection and monitoring of Alzheimer's disease.
Use of this resource
Detailed information on each biomarker is provided in standardized formats. Interactive graphs showing biomarker changes across disease stages can be accessed through the navigation menu. Comprehensive data on biomarker sensitivity, specificity, and correlation with clinical outcomes are available for download in Powerpoint and PDF formats for use in presentations and publications.
